COVER LETTER: Dear Ms. Biereichel: I am presenting myself as the ideal candidate for the Stewardship Specialist at Colorado College, my alma mater. Coordinating individualized stewardship plans for gift donors is a significant accomplishment that I achieved as the Director of a charter school and as the Arts Marketing Associate at the Chicago Cultural Center. I am able to manage strong donor relationships well cultivating and soliciting gifts from diverse patrons. I understand the necessity of graciously reporting back to funders in a timely way. In my former experiences with non-profit institutions I was responsible for follow up correspondence and maintaining robust and reliable associations. I pay close attention to detail and am readily able to compile and synthesize information from administrators, directors, and faculty, which was crucial when I was training my staff at cultural organizations. Supervising gifts, goals and timelines are fundamental aspects of giving and must be well balanced this is an indispensable skill I developed when traveling exhibitions and public programs were scheduled at museums. Through these experiences, I understand the importance of working well with other aspects of the College, which is essential to support scholars throughout the year. This being like the way in which exhibitions mandated backing from all departments. I was a mentor to college and university undergraduate students through programs I orchestrated at the Center. I worked well with and listened to students' challenges, concerns, and triumphs. Varied event planning is something that comes second nature to me having been professionally planning affairs for non-profit organizations and schools for years. In my previous professional positions I managed databases of students, used software programs to develop calendars, and am familiar with Banner data systems. I have accurately managed budgets, met deadlines and assessed situations thinking critically and creatively solved unforeseen problems. As the Public Programs Coordinator and School Director, I was accustomed to thinking on my feet from the start. Thank you so much for your thoughtful consideration.
