SUMMARY * Around 8 years of Database Administration and Development experience working on MS SQL Server 2014/2012/2008 R2/2008/2005 Production, Development and Testing in Clustered and Stand-alone Server Environments. * Extensive experience in various editions of SQL server like SQL Server 2008/ 2008R2 / 2012 /2014 /2016 express edition and SQL server 2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016 enterprise edition. * Deep understanding and working experience of SQL Server (SQL 2008/SQL 2008 R2/2012 / 2014), includes installation, configuration & maintenance of standalone and Clustered Servers [Active/Active and Active/Passive Cluster Design]. * Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and development practices (ranging from Traditional to Agile) and JIRA-based Scrum development life cycle practices * Core experiences in Data Migration, Installation, Indexes, Disaster Recovery, Performance Tuning, Backup and Recovery, Database Security, High Availability Solutions, Database Upgrades patches, SSMS, Integration Services, Database Mirroring, Log-Shipping, Database Migration. * Ability to ensure the technical integrity of corporate databases by protecting against the loss or misuse of information and designing backup/recovery strategies. * Experience in upgrading SQL server software to new versions and applying service packs and patches & Strong knowledge and working experience with SharePoint 2010. * Proficient in Cloud/Azure with experience of Azure Services, PaaS, IaaS, and Migrated from premises databases and Legacy products on Azure, deployed products on Azure, Setup development and test environment on Azure. * Extensive experience on Cloud Computing like Azure/AWS. * Implementation of Database Maintenance Plans for database consistency & integrity such as Integrity check, Rebuilding indexes, Update statistics, clean up history etc. to run the databases efficiently. * Experience in using tools like Database Engine Tuning Advisor, SQL Profiler, Index Tuning Wizard and Windows Performance Monitor for monitoring and tuning MS SQL Server performance. * Optimizing and Performance Tuning such as Query Optimization, Performance Tuning using execution plan, Profiler, Database Tuning adviser and Windows Performance Monitor tools to resolve Dead Locks or long running queries and slow running server. * Experience in implementing SQL Server security and Object permissions like maintaining Database authentication modes, creation of users, configuring permissions and assigning roles to users based on the client requirements. * Worked with XML files, to configure the .NET application as well as PowerShell code * Analyzing consistency of databases by using DBCC commands and worked on DMVs and dynamic management functions for finding out long running queries. * Implementing high Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Features (Always On, Clustering, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication). * Create and set-up Database maintenance plans & Jobs for Database monitoring, maintenance and Automation. * Knowledge of Microsoft Best Practices with regards to configuration of SQL data/log, tempdb, backup drive locations. * Worked on Linked and Remote Servers to run queries between SQL servers and other data sources using ODBC, OLE DB drivers * Experience in creating and scheduling SSIS/DTS packages * Good experience in writing and debugging SQL Server stored procedures/triggers and documenting issues/resolutions of SQL Server Applications. * Extensive experience in using BCP to import/export data from different sources of data into SQL Server Databases. * Experience in an operational environment providing support, involving coordination with release Management, Ticketing System and Change management. * Experience in creating SSIS, SSRS, SSAS packages and also writing complex T-SQL / Stored Procedures, Joins / Views / Triggers / Scripts. * Expertise in writing T-SQL scripts for creating stored Procedures, Triggers, Cursors, and Tables, hands on experience in writing and debugging Stored Procedures, Triggers, Cursors, Complex queries using T-SQL Scripts and Batch files. * Amplified ETL skills to build and maintain SSIS packages, SSRS, SSAS and interfaces with Oracle and also very strong with cloud/Azure databases. * Experience in building Data Integration, Workflow Solutions and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions for data warehousing using SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS). * Experience with Adhoc reporting, Parameterized, Custom Reporting using SSRS for daily reports. * Expertise in creating the Cubes and Dimensions building, deploying, processing and maintaining Cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). * Experience in Data Warehouse Modeling with SQL Server Analysis Service (SSAS).
