Accomplishments Launched new, cost-effective testing services to add revenue. American Health (AHA) was looking for new revenue. Researched new drug testing that would add revenues and complement the existing menu of services at minimal cost for implementation added profitable $100K per year. Standardized processes and procedures to save $2M annually. Costs were under review at AHA. Researched Best Practices for testing by majority of our patient population. Added 30 pieces of new equipment in multi-facilities with web-based systems to capture revenue-generating testing. Saved $2M annually. Reorganized Medicare billing operations to win Federal & State re-licensure. Billing operations at AHA facility had been reduced. Reorganized operations, upgraded staff and strengthened quality in cooperation with CMS/CLIA State inspectors. Obtained re-licensure to stem $200K per week losses. Directed evaluation of state-of-the-art technology for stem cell program. Project to research Best Practices for transfusion @ OneBlood was top priority. Post-evaluation & testing, selected SEPAX Systems to ensure stem cell quality. Patients realized 40% enhanced clinical outcomes using this re-infusion technology. Upgraded technology delivers faster testing turnarounds. A 6-month trial of new technology was ending. Molecular-based testing successfully provided reports to physicians in half the time required by other methods. Costs savings were realized by faster patient treatment implementations. Training/re-training initiatives reduce OneBlood staff turnover 12%. Turnover of valuable licensed clinical and support staff was on the rise. Developed a program of mentoring and re-training key staff as a regular part of their competencies and professional development. Reduced staff turnover by 12%.
