Description
Introduction Solving problems is what I do. I am very experienced and solid in Teradata, Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server and can use all in my projects. At Boeing I was the enterprise architect tasked with conforming and comparing the engineering, planning and build BOM data for the 787. This was Boeing's highest priority project in 2010 - 2011 and leveraged the abilities of Teradata to build the system for certification reporting. At Shiplogix I managed the implementation and upgrade of our software for the customer. We were a SQL Server shop and each implementation required new objects. Currently I am at DLA instituting processes and procedures for Master Data Management including designing the Enterprise Data Dictionary DB which controls the naming, definition and datatype of all columns throughout the enterprise DLA logistics system. Managing the meta-data for the enterprise is also handled by the Data Dictionary. I am actively creating POCs for reporting marts and also a POC for a Data Lake using Hadoop to store irregular data and feed into the enterprise warehouse. This is done using a Horton Works instance of Hadoop and it feeds results from MapReduce jobs into the enterprise warehouse in SAP HANA. I am a US citizen with an clearance from the DOD. 20 years experience as data architect for Education Healthcare Government and Engineering customers. I have built effective IT teams and delivered complex projects on time and on budget in a variety of environments. I am a well-rounded data architect specializing in data warehousing and business intelligence. I have extensive experience as a data architect/modeler and am technically capable in MS Oracle IBM and Teradata.
