CollapseDescription

Summary With over a decade of leadership experience, I am looking to continue on this path. I have worked my from entry level to team leadership. From there I took the next step to a supervisory role. In early 2017, I continued on to a management position. I believe having a working knowledge of the processes needed to complete a given product allows accurate analysis of improvement opportunities and defining meaningful metrics. This understanding also promotes effective new product development. Coordination between departments, clear work instructions, and practical problems solving create the path to success. Years of leadership has presented the opportunity to develop an ability to effectively fill the role of intermediary between upper management and production. In addition to the experience the time has provided, I have had multiple training courses focusing on leadership, communication, and problem solving. I have been part of multiple practical problem solving projects, the most recent focusing on painter training processes. I have had to manage employee corrective actions, emergencies such as fire or workplace violence, and filling in for peers as needed based on attendance and departures. In my continual quest for excellence, I began the journey for a Bachelor of Science in Management degree the summer of 2015. Through extensive efforts with the representatives, we discovered a way to attach multiple certificate programs to the degree to avoid basic courses and add additional high-level development courses in Human Resources and Operations. These efforts have yielded the first certificate in Operations Management as I continue on toward full program completion. The increased understanding of value chain management, including the personnel aspect that is the core of every company's success, will be a tremendous benefit. My philosophy on management is to provide the needed training, tools, and support for the team members to successfully meet standards. When the leadership team has fulfilled these duties, accountability and policy enforcement must follow. The only way to World Class Manufacturing is through consistent and reliable repetition of process and policy.
