Summary Jim Madigan is a project manager, librarian, technology advisor and consultant for best practices in library and information management systems. He has substantial experience, expertise, and achievement in these fields and has demonstrated superior management skills and abilities. From 1992 - 2004, Mr. Madigan was a federal government contractor and senior level consultant, working to start project specific information systems for the US Census Bureau, State Department, US Army in Kuwait, and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Jim has kept active in several professional associations. Jim has also had a life-long love of music, for the past 35 years. He has served as organist and choir director for the past 35 years. He sang and continues to sing with choirs and makes music with music ensembles in the Washington, DC area. Mr. Madigan started his career working in association management while in graduate school - helping to establish state-level chapters of the American College of Cardiology. He went on to an active career in library sciences. He has lived and worked all over the US and around the world: seventy-six countries to date. Jim is a graduate of the University of Maryland with majors in English and Music. He obtained a Masters in Association Management from George Washington University in 1988, first to graduate in the nation from this new degree program. In 1994, while working full time at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, he obtained a Masters of Science in Library Science (MSLS) from the Catholic University of America with a focus on library automation and project management. He is a certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute. Jim is a long time Washington, DC resident. He restored a115 year-old Edwardian home originally built by a turn-of-the-century US Senator from Utah. He is a certified SCUBA diver, travels frequently, and loves early music.
