Profile Christopher is currently the Business Processes & Systems Leader for Supply Chain Management and is managing the business process development & systems improvement with intent to holistically maximize the use of existing technology, to support the business needs of the Organization aligned to World Class Supplier Challenges. He is also driving the establishment of Class A Operating Standards & Principles to enable the organization to achieve and sustain reliable and predictable business results as well as actively benchmark against industry and functional best practices. As the Head Global Procurement for Singapore Manufacturing & Commercialization site in Merck & Co., Inc. Singapore. He is responsible for the leadership to develop, execute and sustain category sourcing strategies for both direct and indirect materials for the facility amounting to USD400 million per annum. He is also currently an Adjunct Lecturer with SIM and RMIT lecturing on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Supply Chain Management at Bachelors level. He also conducts corporate training on Supply Chain and Procurement for executives. Prior to that Christopher was the Asia Pacific and Japan ERP & Strategy leader in the Global Procurement and is responsible for ERP landscape for procurement and strategy formulation & operationalization. He maintains close collaboration with stakeholders from various functions to ensure that the spend savings targets are met, critical Supplier Relationship Management are handled, and Supplier Value Management are optimized through the strategies implemented coupled with the ERP landscape. Prior to this appointment, Christopher was the Regional Systems Development Manager (Asia Pacific) and is responsible for the successful implementation of the corporate ERP system (SAP) throughout Asia Pacific (including Singapore, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Korea, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand) together with the setup & operation of the Financial Shared Services Center. He is also heading the Regional ERP COE (Centre of Excellence) to ensure the continuous and effective operation of the system with a user base of 5000. As part of Global Information Technology management, he works very closely with the various DIOs (Divisional Information Officers) to develop and implement strategic plans for the various business units namely GSC (Global Supply Chain), GPB (Global Pharmaceutical Business) and Research Institute. The implementation scope included the GxP manufacturing processes, logistics & supply chain processes and the broad financial planning & accounting processes. Christopher was the main change agent and part of the Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for the systems integration of a recent merger for Asia Pacific. Christopher was instrumental in setting up a core Regional ERP CoE (Centre of Excellence) in Singapore (25 on-site consultants) and had headed the establishment of partnership engagement of a multi-national managed service provider to provide call centre, level 1 & 2 support to the region. Prior to joining MSD, Christopher had a broad range of functional and information system consulting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting Services and IBM Business Consulting Services. Christopher has over 9 years of business and system consulting experience with special focus in system implementation : designing, developing, streamlining, implementing integrated financial accounting, management costing systems and processes for complex organizations across multiple continents. His area of focus is SAP FICO modules, and is also certified in FICO, SEM and BW. He has broad industry experience including the oil & gas downstream, government, hi-tech manufacturing (EMS), telecommunication, and pharmaceutical. He has brought each client his deep experience in designing, and streamlining financial & management strategies and processes, developing integrated systems and establishing processes to support client organizations.
