Description
To obtain a position in the medical field that utilizes my pharmaceutical skills to the best of my ability. The position should be challenging with responsibility and a possibility for participation in all aspects of health care and/or management, especially the role of pharmacist in the treatment of patients with various medical conditions. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE: STAFF PHARMACIST SEPTEMBER 2011 TO Community Health Net NOVEMBER 2017 1202 State Street Erie, PA 16501 Fill prescriptions on a daily basis, utilizing software to find insurance, look for drug interactions, and counsel to assure proper dosing of medication. Access to E.H.R. (Electronics Health Records), allowed me to verify the diagnosis of the patient to further understand the nature of the problems associated with the medication prescribed. In house providers allowed for personal coordination of health care, based on formulary, or cost of treatment. CHN was a FOHC and had a 340B program to allow low cost purchase and lower drug costs to the patient. CHN also had a Healthcare for the Homeless to utilize government grants to provide free medical, dental and psychiatric services, thereby coordinating the most appropriate, yet cost-effective therapy for these patients. Along with their medical care, a large part of my days was spent making these patients feel good about themselves. The ten minutes encounter with me involved a lot of smiles and genuine concern for their well-being. The atmosphere at CHN made it totally possible to make a positive impact on the lives of people who otherwise have nothing positive in their life. Ask any of them if their life wasn't made better by knowing me as a caregiver. The answers would demonstrate that I care for the people who need my services. Genuine compassion is hard to find, but I have it to offer.
