(first Friday of December) Taught in several elementary schools and middle schools teaching English to students from other countries. * Collaborated with teachers to create curriculum to help students learn both social and academic English with the goal of helping students learn the curriculum being taught in their classroom. * Developed highly effective lesson plans. * Delivered performance assessments. Volunteer Positions Red Lake School District (2016/17 school year) * Worked with designers of the Ojibwe language immersion program for Kindergarten on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Created curriculum that integrated the Ojibwe language into the curriculum. Germanic American Institute Children's Language Camp (multiple summers) * Served as the arts integration coordinator. * Collaborated with German language teachers to create a curriculum theme. * Created and taught the art/craft activities that coordinated with the curriculum. National Night Out (first Tuesday of August) * Collaborated with the neighborhood community to organize a yearly block party event. This festive event includes a feast, multiple door prize drawings and a band culminating in dancing in the blocked off street. * Collaborated with a committee of about 10 people who met monthly to organize a Minneapolis based winter festival.
