SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS * -Licensed Occupational Therapist, State of Florida 2/2019. * -NBCOT certified 6/2016. -BLS 1/2019. * * CLINICAL AND RELATED JOB EXPERIENCE Evaluate and treat geriatric patients returning home from the hospital or rehabilitation center to help them be as independent in their functioning at home as their impairment will allow. Treat geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation for various physical and neurological conditions. Assess and evaluate clients to prioritize the educational and functional needs of the client at regular intervals to show progress. Provide emotional support for children dealing with cancer in loved ones and the loss of family members. Advise college-aged student with special needs regarding their academic program to support academic success. Teach students aged 1-22 yrs. with seriously physical, respiratory and intellectual disabilities both in the classroom and in their home when their impairments prevent them from attending a school building. Organization/Planning eXPERIENCE Coordinate up to 5 service providers to deliver educational service for children with special needs. Develop educational materials, where no appropriate curriculum existed to meet the needs of home bound children with severe physical, respiratory impairments and mental ages between 1 month and 5 yrs. Design, develop and implement a service learning training curriculum. Execute all day to day operations for the Students Offering Services program. A service learning scholarship program for college students. Research, review, plan, and produce a toolkit to assist novice therapists in the assessment and treatment of young children with low vision and their caretakers, for our graduate project in a team of 4 students. Communication ANd Leadership Work with a wide diversity of individuals and groups. Maintain communication with clients, care givers, and service providers about progress and client needs. Basic programming skills and instruction in the use of augment communication and adaptive devices. Adapt and modify technology to allow individuals to communicate their wants and needs. Lead groups in various settings and situations.
