CollapseDescription

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY Experience pertains to performing Power Plant Design Engineering work, as a Project Engineer, Supervising Engineer, Lead and Support engineer on several Coal/Oil/Gas fueled base load/cycling plants, Combined Cycle Plants and Nuclear (PWR/BWR) plants The assignments held have been at Design offices at home (USA) and on several International locations. Overall the experience relates to System Engineering work for the plant systems, initiating with the Heat Balance diagrams and preparation of the P&IDs, Line sizing, Equipment Specifications/Bid Evaluations, Piping & Valves, using the ASME, ANSI, API Codes and NFPA, HI, HEI standards. The systems involved are the Main Steam, Auxiliary Steam, Bypass System, Nuclear Safety related systems, Feed Water, Plant Air, Fuel Gas compression, Fuel Oil/Gas, Ash Handling, Coal Handling, Ammonia Storage/Injection system for SCR units, Combustion/Steam Turbine, and Boiler/HRSG systems. The equipment work has pertained to SG/Boiler Feed Pumps, Circulating Water Pumps, Air Compressors, Fuel gas compressors, Heaters/Heat-exchangers, Fin-Fan Coolers, Piping, Surface and Air Cooled Condensers, Fans (IDF/FDF), Blowers, Tanks, Cooling Towers, ESPs, H2/N2/CO2 Systems/ Equipment, Combustion Turbine/Steam Turbine and Boilers/HRSGs. Initial Nuclear (PWR/BWR) power plant design work has pertained to Heat Balance documents, BOP systems Equipment/Piping Sizing/Calculations, PSAR/FSAR, Nuclear Safety related Pumps/Flow System design, and interface with the Plant Tech. Specs. Post Nuclear power plant work has pertained to performing Design Basis Reconstitution Work and System Assessment work for a BWR Nuclear plant, and preparation of Modification Packages (DCNs/MODs/SMPs) for the operating nuclear plants, interfacing with DBD, Design Criteria, Plant Systems & Equipment and Technical Specifications/FSAR.
