Description
Key Qualifications As an engineer, Zach has over 5 years' experience providing technical leadership, project management, environmental, stormwater, structural, geotechnical and compliance services in the Pacific North West and Arizona. He is an expert at field/office documentation and communication as well as passionate about quality service. Together Mr. Becker's experience in project management, heavy civil construction, client correspondence, environmental law, design, structural modeling, stormwater modeling, environmental modeling, problem solving, delegating work, trades, technical writing, surveying, cost estimation, scheduling, public speaking, railroad, light rail, bridges, tunnels and his extensive knowledge of local, state, federal and foreign regulations related to civil and sensitive environmental issues make him an asset. Led Led surveying team to collect data and sketch the combined sewer system including catch basins, curb inlets, sewer drain manholes, and associated connecting pipes/channels. The survey stretched from 50th and 15th to 90th and 15th. Responsibilities included documentation, quality control and leading the field effort. SR99 Bored Tunnel Project and Alaskan way Viaduct Replacement, SCE, Inc. - Seattle, WA Provided surveying and engineering support for the manual settlement and deformation monitoring program during the SR99 Bored Tunnel and Alaskan way Viaduct Replacement Project under sub contract to Seattle Tunnel Partners. Was key to hazard and liability mitigation during subsurface construction. Provided manual surveying, 3D scanning with a FARO focus 3D and CAD. 15th and Market Limited Phase II ESA and Hazardous Materials Survey, Shannon & Wilson, Inc. - a team of environmental engineers to plan and conduct a limited phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and Hazardous Materials Survey to support property acquisition under sub contract to Martin Selig Real Estate. Prepared proposal and cost estimate. Prepared sampling plan to meet regulations and project requirements. Selected sub-contractors and prepared contracts. Ran daily safety meetings and led sampling team. Organized and oversaw utilities locate. Logged and sampled geoprobe advancements. Interpreted laboratory results. Classified waste and selected cost effective disposal facility. Authored report and remedial action recommendations. Assisted Phase II ESA effort under sub contract to Sound Transit. The site had been a historical terminus for the old Milwaukee Railroad and freight storage warehouse. Currently the site is a shopping center. Sampled and submitted samples to laboratory for geoprobe advancements. Classified waste and developed a conceptual site model. Assisted in development of contamination delineation and contaminated soil cleanup plan. Coordinated and managed sub-contractors during geoprobe advancements and investigation derived waste removal. Authored ESA phase II report.
