Virtualized Desktop Service (Enhance current VDS offering by Implementing Hyper Converged HW, configure VDS Horizon SW, and execute a comprehensive VDS training and adoption tracking program to address cultural shift to VDS.), Data Classification and Knowledge Management (The functional goal was to protect regulated data and promote reuse across the enterprise. Specifically protect, federal and Department of Defense data on all systems storing, processing or transmitting Covered Defense Information (CDI) while reducing the cost and complexity of maintaining the required, protective measures. The solution delivered a flexible approach to fluctuating security controls and DFARS regulations without sacrificing functionality or auditability.) SharePoint Modernization (This comprehensive modernization effort consolidated a desperate collection of SharePoint environments into a single virtual server farm with multiple insulated Web Applications providing users with consistent look and feel. The secure best practice design was recognized by Microsoft and my team utilized the Microsoft DSC (Desired State Configuration) utility to ensure all servers were configured consistently. The new system uses AD group based access/restrictions that can be applied per Web Applications and provides SSO with single source for authorizations/access using WAP appliances. To promote security, server functions are isolated in separate NW zones and the latest NIST and STIG/CIS guidelines were applied. Next Generation Data Center (I was the second PM on this revolutionary cloud enabling transition from an active-passive to an active-active datacenter operations model). I delivered the Next Generation Network Architecture (NGNA) program that included a redesign of the core network, network zones, sites, facilities, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, audio, video, remote access, and the foundational identity and access management framework for digital identity. Our Next Generation Authentication and Authorization design leveraged the latest MS FIM/Active Directory functionality. This included both Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) and Active Directory Federation (ADFS) Services. We used ADDS to enhance user logon, authentication, and directory searches and ADFS to take advantage of claims based access (CBA) authorization for SSO. We configured FIM self-service portal for password resets, group membership requests, and provisioning service accounts. My project team delivered the desired state IdM/Active Directory environment with role-based authentication and policy driven provisioning of access that streamlined related business processes.
