Description
Dear Sir, After obtaining my Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas in 1965, I went back to my country of origin Venezuela. There, I created my own firm in 1969 after having worked as architect al the Health Department between 1965 and 1967, and as city planner at the Sucre Council between 1967 and 1969. At the same time, I won a competition to become Professor of Architectural Design in November 1967, at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, retiring in November of 1996 after 29 years of teaching and being Director of the School of Architecture during the seventies. I made a break in 1978 to go to Cornell University and obtained a Masters Degree in 1980 where I had the opportunity to share Urban Planning studios with Professor Emeritus Stuart W Stein, and follow lectures and classes with Professors Mathias Ungers and Colin Rowe. I left Venezuela for political reasons in 2011, after 48 years of having my own firm, and live with my wife in Lawrence, Kansas. I became a US citizen few months ago, and I am looking forward the opportunity of using my experience as a consultant architect. I appreciate the opportunity, Best Regards, Eduardo Fernando Guillen
