Commercial responsibilities included project cost estimating, compiling and vetting cost, time, resource (CTR) data from all disciplines, project financial reporting, project forecasting & reporting, negotiating with vendors and suppliers for optimal procured item price and schedule, detailed risk evaluation leading to setting risk contingency, collecting and vetting all internal costs, setting profit margin and in obtaining management approval. Key projects include: * Big Foot development (FEED and Detailed Engineering) for Chevron total engineering contract was worth approximately $80.0 million. * TLP for Browse LNG development for Woodside Energy (~ $2.5 billion) * EPC bid for Shell Malikai TLP project offshore Malaysia (~ 1.0 billion) - was stationed in Singapore, while leading the commercial deliverables for Shell Sabah, Malaysia. The scope of this bid included coordination between McDermott, Singapore, Keppel Fels, Singapore and FloaTEC, LLC, Houston. * Chissonga Detailed Engineering for HHI (prime contractor) Operator Maersk /Sonangol. * Commercial support for Papa Terra project for Petrobras (during the close out phase of the project) * Contract negotiation and administration for all FloaTEC contracts * Collaborated and negotiated with parent organization to arrive at optimum contracting principles for FloaTEC, LLC these principles formed the basis for all FloaTEC contracts. * Led and concluded contract negotiation with HHI for the Chissonga tender engineering. Also, negotiated contract principles and language (to the HHI contract) for the Chissonga EPCI project. * Led and concluded 20+ frame agreements (Master Services Agreements, Engineering Services Agreement, Consultant Agreement) with various clients and subcontractors. * Commercial advisory principal at ConocoPhillips for the Marine division achievements include evaluating and developing economic metrics (such as project NPV) for marine projects, advising worldwide business units on shipping costs and fleet mix, evaluate end markets for LNG projects, advise management on country entry assessment for LNG projects. * Evaluate & advice ConocoPhillips's QatarGas III venture, and SHELL's QatarGas IV venture on LNG fleet mix (total fleet worth ~ $5.0 billion), and gas delivery end-markets. * Country entry assessment study (shipping & unit cost determination) for LNG projects - Papua New Guinea, and Bangladesh. * Develop economic metrics ($/mmbtu) for worldwide LNG projects projects include QG III, Brass LNG, OK LNG, and Shtokman among others. * Evaluate bid package for tug installation, FSO procurement for worldwide ConocoPhillips projects projects include Su Tu Vang (Vietnam), Varandey (Russia) among others. * Preliminary assessment (transportation & logistics) to study viable options for COP's Polar fleet (Alaska - West Coast trade) to decide between outright sales of assets or to combine COP's assets with that of other oil producers. * Led all commercial and operational aspects (field and office) for the start-up dredging corporation. Key contracts include process pond dredging for P66 (Sweeney refinery), salt dome clean-up for Dow Chemicals and various city and municipal water treatment plant clean-up contracts were in the range of approximately $500,000 to $1 million. Project / Business Management * Led project coordination between engineering, commercial & contracts, the project manager, company management and clients this led to projects coming in under budget and/or in generating additional revenue by means of change orders. In conjunction with Project Controls Manager, review project status with PM to report performance and progress against deliverables and highlight any key technical and schedule issues * Spearheaded the proposal and bid process for EPCI projects that included budgeting, vendor management and general project direction. In support of project managers, liaise periodically with clients on key technical and delivery issues (client management). Additionally, coordinate with project Quality and HSE groups in ensuring that the project follow all internal requirements while also incorporating any client requirements. * Managed project controls function for small to medium level projects enhanced project evaluation template to determine financial status of projects. Project performance (financial including budget status, schedule, and change order status) was periodically reported to upper management. * Oversaw the preparation of bid packages for approval from FloaTEC's Board of Managers to enable FEED and EPCI bids bid tabs included commercial and estimating, contract key areas, risk and opportunity matrix. * While at ConocoPhillips, facilitated and coordinated the monthly Marine Management Team (MMT) meetings with leadership team of the Marine division. Entrepreneurial * Successfully led all commercial and operational aspects (field and office) for the start-up dredging corporation. Designed and built the first in-house mobile dredging unit to enable sand/silt separation process (solids control). Key contracts include process pond dredging for P66 (Sweeney refinery), salt dome clean-up for Dow Chemicals and various city and municipal water treatment plant clean-up. * Partner and founder of start-up solar energy solutions company that enable industrial clients to save on electric/fuel cost in their industrial applications. Transformed the "idea" into a business venture by developing the solar product and associated components from "scratch" Charted course for company's marketing strategy by determining the appropriate market areas to target. Engineering * Prepare / evaluate technical bid package for world-wide EPCI projects in development of large as well as marginal fields. * Developed and implemented innovative installation solution (stability device) for offshore platforms, reducing client's installation cost by ~ $30.0 million hold patent for the invention. * Evaluate, execute and manage design and global performance of offshore structures in the capacity of a lead engineer - managing a team of four engineers. Projects include Kizomba A & B (TLP for EMDC), Nakika (Semi-Submersible for Shell), Magnolia (TLP for ConocoPhillips). * Strengthened the Naval Architecture department's design optimization techniques enabling cost competitiveness in the design and execution of projects. As an example, this effort included coordinating with sub-contractors and vendors in determining an optimal platform installation plan and design. * Conduct detailed intact and damage stability analysis per ABS, IMO, USCG and DnV regulations communicate and liaise with regulatory organizations in obtaining speedy regulatory approvals. * Lead / perform conceptual studies for Oil & Gas clients to evaluate feasibility of new hull forms (R & D) with focus on reducing overall platform cost to clients new hull forms analyzed included the Extended Tension Leg Platform (ETLP - both 3 & 4 column designs) and the Single Column Floater (SCF). * Shipyard Experience: Coordinate engineering and production activities in the shipyard. Responsible for structural analysis, stability analysis, outfit design and design verification of new build vessels and conversion projects. Interfacing with classification societies, regulatory and government bodies. Develop in-house programs for ship scantlings, and structural analysis.
