Summary: Bringing excellent experiences from 25 years of working as Development Engineering NPI Engineer, Manufacturing NPI Engineering, System Test Engineer/ Manufacturing Product Engineer, Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer and NPI Pilot Line Supervisor in Semiconductor Capital Equipment: * Project managed the transfer of prototype products (R&D) from concept to full production via build verification in NPI Pilot line to lean manufacturing lines. * Represented Development Engineering Department as Focal point of contact for issues from manufacturing (in San Jose & Singapore), Materials, Suppliers, Contract Supplier (domestic & foreign) and Field Service Engineers. Updated documentations, procedure, work instructions and BOMs by writing ECN. * Designed and developed manufacturing processes for new products and enhancements, related tooling and fixtures which are consistent with a zero defect level as well as low product cost. * Generated product tree, drawings, interconnect diagram, (Electrical, Water and Pneumatic) schematics of the system, Specs and BOMs. Wrote SOE, test procedure and Field upgrade procedures to ensure documentations are consistent with company's quality system and customer's quality requirement which was provided by NPI QE and implemented processes to improve efficiency of products in lean manufacturing lines and reduce cycle time. * Design Cable and Harness for new products and work with supplier to bulid the cables and harness. * Performed failure analysis on products return from field by testing, troubleshooting, finding root cause and providing FAR/CAR to customers. * Attended critical design reviews to ensure new products met reliability, serviceability, quality, testability, possibility of outsourcing and manufacturability in lean lines. * Designed Electrical Control Drawers and cables & harnesses. * Saved employer $$$$$$ and reduced DPU (Defect Per Unit) by establishing and facilitating quality team to resolve daily manufacturing issues, field failures and supplier issues between all groups (system test, final assembly, manufacturing subsystems, quality engineers, SQE, packaging and shipping & handling) and followed up with failure analysis and corrective action. * Extensive knowledge of Demand Flow Technology (DFT) in lean manufacturing practices, line design, part presentation processes, implemented processes and techniques to improve production efficiencies and reducing cycle time & costs using Six Sigma, 5S's processes and Poke Yoke techniques. * Interfaced with cross-functional team (CFT) reviewing all DCNs / ECNs for interchangeability (form fit and function) to avoid E&O (Excess of Obsolete). * Halted prototype PCBs production and testing at vendor site till resolved the failure reported in NPI Pilot line during testing. * Attended RMA meetings, wrote NCMR to sweep materials from inventories worldwide, disposition of RMA & MRB materials, followed up with failure analysis and corrective action from internal and external suppliers. * Obtained and updated test procedures, calibration procedures, OMS and SOE per ECN changes. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in interfacing customers and suppliers.
