SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Mental health/substance abuse counseling professional with MSW and skills in the following key areas: * New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). * Suicide Prevention Training/Certification. * Extensive background managing mental/behavioral health and substance abuse clients in a full range of service delivery venues, including: psychiatric ED, psychiatric in-patient and out- patient, DWI/DUI/drug counseling, DWI/DUI/drug court, alternative to incarceration programs, residential treatment, supportive group homes, veterans outreach clinics, prison-to-society re- entry programs, job development/coaching. * Counseling includes: mental health, substance abuse, the scope of addictions (bulimia, anorexia, pica), co-occurring, post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), life coping skills, domestic violence, anger management, nutrition planning, vocational planning. * Case management: including assessment, intake, insurance referral/sourcing, strategizing and implementing plans for treatment and pathway to recovery/self-sustainment community networking to obtain optimal support services, client advocacy, client empowerment, monitoring and interpreting changes in behavior, monitoring psychotropic medication, interaction with multi-disciplinary teams for client maximum outcomes. * Case management staff training and supervision. * Highly effective working with a demographically diverse clientele, including ages, cultures, and socioeconomic. * Offering a complementary combination of leadership, management, technical, interpersonal communication, and inter-organizational collaboration skills.
