Experienced with crisis interventions, both medical and psychiatric * Provided care of patients who were secluded, restrained, 1:1, suicidal precaution, isolation, behavior modification, and sex offenders * Knowledge of second generation psychotropics, 72-hour or 14-day holds, advisements, Reise hearing, habeas corpus, AMAS, and court-ordered psychiatric treatment * Performed as relief nurse - made the patient/nurse assignments, countersigned unit secretary's taking of doctor's orders, reported unusual occurrences on the unit, made rounds with the psychiatry chief, attented treatment reviews, monitored the safety on the unit and of the staff and patients * Knowledge in the use of restraints for medical and psychiatric reasons
