Mr. Bishop has over 30 years' experience as an HVAC Engineer conducting design analysis heat and cooling load analysis energy and system modeling refrigerant management equipment selection and sizing and application of dedicated Outdoor Air systems in HVAC systems. He was a senior Mechanical Engineer at HQ AFMC advising engineers at 8 bases. He has developed technical specifications for HVAC systems boiler systems steam and air conditioning piping air conditioning chillers air compressors natural gas systems and commissioning verification. He updated AFMAN 32-7089 Refrigerant Management and the Sample Refrigerant Management Plan a guideline for Air Force refrigerant technicians. Developed inspection instructions for contracts project cost estimates and statements of work for HVAC programs. Applied DOD standards and mechanical codes to technical documents such as Air Force Instructions pamphlets manuals Unified Facilities Criteria and Engineering Technical Letters. Applied his HVAC experience and knowledge to developing criteria for the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) manual. With a background in Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) he developed the EMCS criteria for the Air Force Playbook. Performs energy audits at military hospitals. He has a current Secret security clearance and CAC card for computer access.
