Duties of the position include but are not limited to: * Received and analyzed prosthetic consults, and prescriptions for items, services and home medical equipment. Reviewed requests for completeness, proper documentation and make arrangements to procure the above items. Established workflow protocols to ensure the timely execution of work. * Reconciled all invoices for certification of payment by reviewing Veteran records against invoices to ensure that accurate cost is being charged for service/item rendered and verified the correct total cost. Procured specialized medical equipment, supplies and services for Veterans . * Procured specialized medical equipment with critical and unique characteristics and associated guidance from a variety of sources. Authorized and prepared complex purchase orders for a wide variety of prosthetic and orthotic devices, medical supplies and durable medical equipment. * Advised Veterans and clinicians in relation to eligibility for entitlements for items and services. Administered small purchase orders that involve dynamic elements such as time, materials and labor hours. Executed price adjustments resolved any discrepancies, modifications, amendments to purchase orders and cancelations of purchase orders. * Managed multiple purchase cards for various forms of payments, repairs, supplies and other items as needed per VA regulations.
