I am seeking a Sales, Sales Management or Business Development position with a firm that can take advantage of my unique skill set. I have over 20 years experience in the heavy-duty truck and engine business. Recently my career has been focused on heavy-duty, alternative fuel vehicles. I specialize in alternative fuels, including a recent emphasis on natural gas, both LNG and CNG, while maintaining a complete understanding of traditional diesel vehicles, engines, including mechanical and electric drive systems. Over the last 15 years I have been immersed in the world of two startups which has included roles in strategic planning, product development, emissions certification, government funding, new product introduction, dealer development and all that is included with taking a new heavy-duty engine product to market. This pursuit has included products developed and marketed with and without an OEM partner. I thoroughly understand the Otto and diesel combustion cycles, and I am well prepared for technical sales. I have managed, and directly sold, product lines from replacement parts, small and large components, to complete engines and trucks. I understand the truck and automotive business model from the OEM, Distributor and Dealer levels with extensive Product Support and After Sales experience. I have also had direct involvement with high horsepower stationary and marine applications. I have opened markets in all regions of the United States and Canada, Europe, Central and South America, Australia, and Asia. I am located in the Southern California area, although I am able to easily relocate if required. I am available for travel of all types and lengths and well versed in same. I have good interpersonal skills, I write and speak well, and I am a high energy, team player. I am particularly well known for developing close and lasting customer relationships. I am very strong at evaluating products, regions and investments from the customer perspective and relaying that information back to Senior Management. I communicate well with a variety of customers and employees, at all levels, and I am able to see the big picture clearly. Thank you for your consideration.
