Description
. I have been in the workforce for over 20 years and most of it was a Business Owner. I used to own and operate a barber shop and as you know, business owners have to wear a lot of hats. Not only was I the Master Barber but I processed the payroll, company taxes, accounting, marketing, community outreach, customer service and business development. I enjoyed my work but it was time to think about phase two. Occasionally, I would take other jobs in the warehouse industry such as Supply Chain Logistics Laborer for Warehouse Distribution Centers which is where my curiosity for Transportation Solutions began. After working in the warehouse and seeing how product is sorted, packaged, and transported, I wanted to know more about the management side of things. Meaning, what are the problems and solutions within the logistical process and how are routes created. I decided I wanted a 2nd career in Transportation and Logistics which is why I enrolled at Benedict College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Engineering and Logistics in May 2016.
