Description
COVER LETTER: Dear Sir/Madam, In a career spanning the consulting and financial world I believe that I have developed and demonstrated substantial commercial acumen, stakeholder management and influencing skills. Along with good overall knowledge of investment products and capital markets, I also have a keen learning aptitude that helps me thrive in different work environments, from a five member asset management firm/hedge fund to bulge bracket banks and consulting firms. Having managed a fixed income proprietary book ($1.25 billion) for a bank, and worked in listed equities and illiquid project financing deals, I believe that I have the required skills and aptitude for this position. In a difficult market, my book beat its benchmark every year of the five years that I was with the bank. As part of the bank's Investments Division, I was also responsible for preparing a semi-annual strategy paper, analysing the economic environment and was part of the asset allocation decision making process. My wife got transferred to Singapore in September 2013 and then to the US in December 2016 with offers that were too good to refuse. I moved with her and have been working on my personal account. I would like to move back to full time employment. Yours sincerely, Shaswat Sekhar SHASWAT SEKHAR, CFA ssekhar.mifft2005@london.edu +1 202 725 1761 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In a career spanning the consulting and investment world, I bring with me 15+ years of experience in business development, financial analysis and structuring of private equity and project financing deals, multi asset class trading and portfolio management as well as client and team management skills. The last 8 years I have been working in fixed income, first managing the Prop book of a middle eastern bank and then managing my own portfolio of global bonds and Indian stocks.
