Description
SUMMARY Strong background in defining, designing and developing embedded systems. Defined the architecture for Stacking and Switch Port Extender Fabric (802.1br) as well as making both products very successful products in the market. Coordinated efforts with Engineering, QA, Product Management, Hardware, customers as well as various ASIC and Test Equipment vendors. Have worked on several interesting problems like memory corruption, performance optimization, priority tuning, race conditions etc. Excellent understanding of the areas like redundancy/ switchover, warm-reboot and stacking. Experienced in porting/designing various protocol stacks like IEEE 802.1BR CSP, IEEE ECP, TCP/IP etc. Designed several device drivers like Ethernet as well as packet dispatchers. Used various ASICs (Cisco proprietary, Marvell 98DXxxxx, Cheetah 5, Lion, Broadcom BCM56850, BCM56340, BCM56160 etc), System Controllers, FPGAs and DSP C6415. Several projects involved understanding of things like L2 bridging, 802.1d, 802.1s, 802.1w, LAG (802.3ad), 802.1AX, LACP, LLDP, TRILL, Switch Fabric, Stacking, L3 routing, ARP, IGMP, Radius, 802.1x, ACL etc.
