Summary of Qualifications: 15 years as Corporate Director/Manager Environmental Health and Safety Providing technical support to includes training, developing, and performing assigned environmental health & safety related compliance programs in Heavy, Medium and light Industrial Manufacturing and production in privet and government( Sergeant Fletcher, BAE, NASA/JPL, EMCOR Government Services), manufacturing( Covalence Plastics) production and food industry Authentic Specialty Foods( La Victoria Salsa, Cacique Cheese), medical & production based industries as well Medical Devises: Provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with standards, rules and regulations. Make sure the workplace conforms to applicable OSHA/EPA/AQMD/standards Keep equipment properly maintained and make sure employees use safe tools and equipment. Providing leadership and direction to achieve Regulatory Compliance, Hazardous Waste Operations, and D.O.T (New standard). Use new GHS labels (new standards), posters, labels or signs to warn employees of potential hazards. Establish or update operating procedures and communicate them to employees. Provide medical examinations and training when required Prominently post the OSHA poster stating employee rights and responsibilities Keep records of work-related injuries and illnesses/ Management of Work Compensation program (Claims Review/ Return to Work Program/Litigation /Depositions). Post OSHA/EPA citations at or near work areas. Providing leadership and direction to achieve the EH&S vision through management. Commitment and employee ownership. Developing and aligning facility EH&S strategy according to the business/enterprise EH&S/ Regulatory Compliance and EPA plan Facilitating EH&S ownership by the line organization. Ensuring the EH&S vision is developed and integrated in facilities. Fostering an environment where employees understand and exercise their decision rights regarding EH&S. Ensuring incentive metrics are aligned with performance. Facilitating EH&S ownership by the line organization through integration of the EH&S Management System. Ensuring EH&S system elements are integrated into the line organization's responsibilities and expectations. Leading the development of risk assessment methods/systems for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards. Increasing critical hazard awareness thereby reducing the likelihood of at risk behaviors. Ensuring an effective change management process is in place. Partnering with facility leadership to develop short and long-term EH&S objectives, targets, strategies, and measures that prioritize and mitigate risks. Ensuring the development, improvement, and implementation of training systems to meet facility needs utilizing qualified instructors Conducting routine management reviews and adjusting plans as necessary Utilizing development plans to grow the teams' EH&S skills and knowledge Aerospace Office and Emergency Response and Liaison between C.H.P., P.D., U.S. Coast Guard, F.A.A., F.D./ Hazardous Material Div. F.D. I.N.S., D.E.A., E.P.A
