Description
SUMMARY: * Around 4+ years of experience as System administrator on RedHat EL Linux, CentOS, Solaris, Fedora, Ubuntu, HP-UX Windows 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 Operating systems. * Experienced working on hardware like HP Proliant Servers DL360/DL380/DL580, IBM, Dell and Sun Microsystems. * Experience and Familiar with Virtualization technologies like installing, configuring, administering VMware ESX/ESXi 4.1/5.0/5.1/6 and KVM. * Experience working in customizing the Kickstart to automate the installation of various servers used for various internal projects and also experienced in PXE boot installations. * Have Knowledge on Shell, Perl and python scripts to automate day to day administrative tasks. * Hands on experience with RedHat Satellite and Spacewalk servers for applying patches to the servers to maintain system integrity. * Good hands on experience on installation and configuration of Web Application servers like Apache, Tomcat and Weblogic also experienced in installation, configuration, deployment and management of enterprise applications using Jboss EAP 5.x/6.x on Linux, AIX and HP-UX platforms. * Extensive understanding of networking concepts, (IE. Configuration of networks, router configuration and wireless security, TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, and routing in LAN/WAN, Ethernet Port and wireless networks). * Have hands on experience in installing Storage Area Networking and hardware: EMC, HP Presenting LUNs, Zoning on SAN switches. * Experience in configuring Networking, LDAP, FTP, DHCP, NFS, DNS on Unix servers. * Experience in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, FTP, NAT, Exchange Mail Server in Windows based server environment. * Experience managing various filesystem using VxVM, LVM and SVM and also configured filesystem through network using NFS, NAS methodologies and installed RAID devices. * Experience in Server monitoring, capacity planning, application monitoring with the help of Nagios. * Experience in maintaining the integrity of Unix/Linux and Windows servers by performing patching operations on a regular and planned way. * Hands on experience coordinating various system related activities using management and tracking systems like Jira. * Experience with all kinds of MS Office like Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. * Very enthusiastic at work, keen to learn new technologies and always ready to take new tasks.
