Summary: Mr. Mathur has significant experience in managing both large corporations and start-ups in major technology and business initiatives from inception to implementation. Recently, he headed offshore vendor management and strategic sourcing at the Union Bank of California (UBOC). UBOC is embarking on a multi-year strategic sourcing initiative that will re-engineer and outsource business processes and technology projects. Mr. Mathur was directly responsible for articulating and driving this initiative that is anticipated to introduce efficiencies and accrue substantial savings. He set up an offshore development center in Bangalore, India with a staff of over 300 developers. He has served recently as Head of Applications Development at the Pacific Exchange (now a part of the New York Stock Exchange). Mr. Mathur joined the Exchange in 2001 and had direct responsibility for launching "PCX Plus", an initiative that transformed the options exchange from a floor-based to a remotely accessible entity. He was Vice President and Head of Engineering at eRide and Chief Technology Officer for eFrontiers (a venture-backed, B2B financial services startup in San Francisco). He has held senior management positions at Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco as Head of Portfolio Management, Trading and Trading Operations systems divisions. In this capacity, his responsibility encompassed all technology initiatives for equity, fixed-income, currency and derivative products for Barclay's indexed-investment funds. During his tenure, he oversaw the launch of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) product and led the deployment of a Currency Risk Management System, which mitigated currency risk for International Portfolio management's indexed investment funds in the Americas and Europe.
