Provided Responsible for developing and implementing complete network infrastructure solutions for the NYSE Trading Floor facility and multiple data centers to support the NYSE. Developing project schedules, implementation plans, and system designs as well as providing a high-level interface to NYSE management, project architects, contractors, and vendors. Key contributions as listed below: Project Management: * Created project plans (PMP Methodologies) based on approved system designs, tracked key milestones, adjusted project plans, handled budget requests (RFI/RFP) and tracked resources to meet business unit needs. * Developed schedules and timelines using Microsoft Projects/ Access to track the various efforts to complete the infrastructure / network on budget and on time. * Instituted Project Management Office (PMO) group to develop reference for pricing specifications (RFI's) to be competitively bid out for work at the NYSE. Handled all reference for information (RFI's) from contractors and complete bidding process. * Single Point of contact for Electrical Contractors (AGC/Unity) and NYSE Project Mgmt Group (AMEC/ Morse Diesel). * Responsible for multiple small and large infrastructure projects simultaneously managing the entire project life cycle from design inception to implementation completion. * Also organized work priorities, organize project teams, provided status reporting and data entry into Microsoft projects / Access database tracking system for reporting purposes. * Responsibilities included being the Project manager, infrastructure architect, implementation Engineer and Point of Contact for multiple functional teams across the NYSE (UNIX Group, QA Support, Network Group, Planning Group, Operations and Trading Floor Technicians), to develop and maintain a consolidated, milestone-based schedule of activities. 3 ASANKA N.
