ELA Social Studies and Special Education Liaison /Teacher as well as Transition Services Coordinator and Data Specialist New York City Teaching Fellows Lower Manhattan Arts Academy New York NY (08/11 to present) Plan and implement scaffolded ELA Humanities and Resource Room curricula to 10th 11th and 12th grade Regents inclusion classes according to Common Core Learning Standards * Provide scaffolded Wilson literacy improvement curriculum to literacy skills class of 9th graders * Plan and implement scaffolded Global History curriculum to 9th grade Regents inclusion class and American History curriculum to 11th grade Regents inclusion class according to Common Core Learning Standards * Develop and update Individual Education Plans and assess students' related services needs as well as assist with special education department procedures as school liaison Coordinate transition services including college and vocational preparation for seniors with Individual Education Plans * Mentor new teachers using the New York City Department of Education mentoring guidelines and protocols
