Description
More than twenty years experience in Mechanical & Structural design analysis associated with seismic and non-seismic power generation piping and supports. * Over 17 years experience with Engineering 3D modeling analysis programs such as Bentley AutoPipe "Pipe stress analysis and design program". The first three years of the twenty performed pipe stress and support analysis utilizing hand calculations. * Proficient at writing and reviewing technical reports associated with all facets' of a power or process plant. * Proficient in mathematical computation programs such as MathCAD spreadsheet development and data compilation utilizing Microsoft Office systems: Word Excel Access Project Visio and Power Point. * Proficient in design associated with small and large bore piping instrumentation and their supports. The design process involves development of supporting documentation design calculations design drawings design specifications standards and guidelines with strict adherence to ASME B31.1 Power piping code and American Institute of Steel Construction. * Proficient field verification Engineering analysis design interpretation detailed design technical writing and problem solving utilizing the latest computer applications and techniques. * Engineering lead in multiple piping design projects which involved initiating a project from conception to final field installation. These projects required initial field verifications design analysis and field support. The position of project lead required leadership and guidance with designers other Engineering disciplines and plant personnel ranging from maintenance to operations. All of this while maintaining schedule. Proficient at developing reading and interpreting plant design drawing included architectural structural piping (isometrics and physical) and instrumentation. * Proficient developing plant procedures design guidelines and specifications. * Familiar with MicroStation and Smart Plant review.
