Description
COVER LETTER: Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I recently worked for Detroit Diesel in Redford as the construction skilled trades supervisor, truck repair supervisor, and the carpenter painter supervisor. I started out my supervisory role at Detroit Diesel in the facilities department. I supervised 32 skilled trades with the maximum of 36 with apprentices. For your review, I have attached my resume for your consideration. I held many roles at Detroit Diesel and have been moved to where I was needed within the organization. I have managed skilled trades, managed utilities budgeting and invoicing, worked with contractors, developed scope of work, ran overtime, etc. I started off as an energy specialist contract employee and was hired in to become a facility engineer and then was asked to move to the plant floor as a supervisor to cover a need and have been there for the past 3+ years. As a facility engineer, I worked with a group of engineers to demo out a large area of building and prep it for a new state of the art line. One of the task I was handed was put together everything that needed to be done for demo and upgrade as well as build timelines for demo and implementation for the group. For the task I was also asked to secure funding and run multiple series of jobs within this timeline which included demo of HVAC, implementation of new HVAC, roof replacement, and co-managed the removal of the old paint booth and installation of the new one. This task of implementation kept me involved even as I was transitioned to the floor as a supervisor. Working as a facility engineer, I was the main figure head in negotiating the contract for natural gas. Also, I worked on the implementation for the sewer metering for the facility in the efforts to achieve significant ROI and yearly savings. I have to offer a combination of knowledge, skills, and personal attributes well suited for working in a variety of situations - whether in an office environment, in the field, or on the floor. I have experience in Project Management through my previous job where I was a Service Manager, Facility Engineer, and Construction supervisor. Combined with my management abilities, project management, and communication skills, I am confident that I would be an asset to your organization. If you feel there is a mutual interest, I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to learn more about your company, the requirements of the position, and how my qualifications would be a good fit. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration of my candidacy. I look forward to hearing from Sincerely, Jeremy Fecteau Enclosure:
