Description
Summary * Experience in Installation and Configuration of SQL Server, Backup and Restore including Disaster Recovery, Performance Tuning and Query Optimization and Security. * Strong experience in Upgrade and Migration of MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014 to MS SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016. * Experience in moving/copying data in different locations and convert data from flat file, spreadsheet, oracle to SQL and vice versa. Also creating Backup Strategy by Scheduling various Maintenance Plan Jobs. * Hands on experience and knowledge on various High Availability SQL Server solutions/technologies, including Log Shipping, Mirroring, Replication and AlwaysON AG. * Experience in configuring and monitoring Log Shipping with Manual Failover. Configured, monitored and maintained various Replication Topologies. * Strong knowledge of Database Mirroring including Auto Failover, Hardware/Software Clustering and SAN technology. * Experience in setting up AlwaysOn High Availability Groups, including monitoring and troubleshooting. * Strong hands on T-SQL, DMVs, DBCC commands and Trace Flags, including creating and maintaining Databases, Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, cursors and Indexes. * Experience in Creating and Maintaining ETL routines as well as assisting with reporting needs. * Experience in developing and deploying complex SSIS and SSRS Packages. * Acted as a Production and Development DBA. * Monitor and Troubleshoot SQL Servers and databases by using Standard Reports, Activity Monitor, Profiler/Tuning Advisor to find and resolve various bottlenecks such as Locks/Blocks/Dead Locks/ Long /Slow running Queries. Also used tracing mechanism Extended Events. * Hands on experience dealing with Execution Plan for query optimization and Indexes for performance issues. * Experience in responsibly securing SQL Server, User Management, Assigning Permissions and Roles (Server level and Database level). * Experience in Using Performance Monitor (perfmon) dealing with various counters. * Hands on experience of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010. * Excellent experience in working independently as well as in team-oriented environments. * Experience in supporting and maintaining Very Large Databases and troubleshooting. * Excellent Analytical, Communication and Interpersonal skills.
