My name is Juan Raul Castrellon. I am an English-Spanish bilingual educated professional with 20 years of experience in the production industry. My skills include filming, editing, graphic design and VFX. I believe that the editor/videographer position at your company closely matches my qualifications to fulfill the job. My passion for video production started when I was in Law School. During those years, I was a frequently called to model for TV commercials. Soon after, I started working for a well known production company, Publitres, carrying lights and cables. My curiosity for filming and editing quickly grew and currently I am able to lead productions from starts to finish. Little by little I have immersed into all aspects of the filming industry. I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest programs, equipment and skills. Anyone who knows me knows that I love my job, especially when I am given the opportunity to be creative. I am also good at following directions and keeping my work in order. During my latest work as a director and producer I led one of the most liked television shows, Cooltura. I produced and did all the graphics for the show. Previously, I worked as a graphic designer for the movie "Hands of Stone" recreating posters and old school signs; I was a video editor and journalist for VOA (Voice of America) and a freelance videographer and editor for several jobs while living in Virginia. At the beginning of my career I worked for various food product clients, where I was a package designer. Other jobs can be seen on my resume. I currently work as a Producer doing video and photography projects a la cart. At the same time I teach a video editing, photography, film and graphics class 3 days a week for 2 hours to high school students at a private school. To expand my skills I have been thinking on starting other exiting opportunities. I am available to start working ASAP. My life dream accomplishment is to write and produce my own movie.
