Nearly 32 years of experience as a federal law enforcement investigator with U.S. Customs and Homeland Security Investigations. Led domestic and international investigations spanning the protection of intellectual property rights, counter proliferation, and anti-dumping to counter-terror initiatives, child exploitation issues, trade compliance, drug smuggling, fraud inquiries and computer-related crimes. A focused and team-oriented individual who is known for "getting the job done right the first time." A proven and VERIFIABLE record for: * Conducting sensitive investigations both in the U.S. and abroad that produced tangible results on post 9/11 anti-terror initiatives such as Container Security and Visa Security. Worked closely with counterparts in foreign governments on these issues. * Leading in anti-smuggling and commercial fraud investigations involving narcotics, intellectual property rights, anti-piracy and computer-related crimes. Resulted in the arrest of dozens of organized crime figures and seizures tons of narcotics and other contraband. Directly assisted in the repatriation of valuable artifacts of national importance to Egypt. * Expertise in security and crisis management. Primary Homeland Security contact in Cairo, Egypt from 2011-2014. Assisted in two evacuations of hundreds of Americans from Egypt during the Arab Spring. * Training and development. Trained Egyptian government agents on anti- proliferation issues, commercial and strategic fraud issues and intellectual property protection and anti-piracy. In the U.S., participated in the Automated Commercial Environment Project as the trade fraud subject matter expert.
