Temporary Charge/Staff registered nurse for a busy urban Emergency Dept. that serves a diverse population including refugee and immigrant contact. * Working with people in various critical/trauma situations and their families. support staff for Seattle area hospitals in emergency departments including Harborview Medical Center Stevens Memorial Hospital and Providence General Medical Center Group Health Coop. (Eastside). Experience with the sole focus on the pediatric patient. In addition to managing acute pediatric illness and well-child exams experience expanded to rounding at Skagit Valley Hospital for pre-term infants, drug positive infants and performing initial newborn examinations. This clinic was located in a geographical area where there is a large amount of migrant farm workers who many only speak Spanish so much of my experience was also refreshing myself in interviewing and examining in Spanish under the direct observation of pediatricians Lyall Bishop, MD and Barbara Geraghty, MD. included all phases of acute and chronic illness management as well as women's health issues as well as integrating mental health issues into primary care. Under the direct observation of Sharon Gottardi ARNP Experience includes managing multi- system complex adult patients with a variety of critical problems including cardiac pulmonary endocrine and respiratory. Critical care admissions to Skagit Valley Hospital under direct observation of Dr. Robert Slind. Women's health revolving around all phases of a women's health/lifetime cycle including birth through menopause in an urban and rural setting. Annual women's exams including PAP and evaluation of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Microscopic examination of body fluids. Under direct observation of Dyanne Desdier ARNP at the clinic of Dr Michael Greer Ob/Gyn in Seattle and Cascade Valley Women's Health Clinic in Arlington Washington.
