ACCOMPLISHMENTS Created the infrastructure for a newly organized heart and vascular institute Lead redesign of ED in collaboration with hospital-wide task force to improve patient, staff and faculty satisfaction, improve quality and streamline operations resulting in 50% expansion of the department and Redesign of Patient Flow Co led with the Chairman of Medicine an organization wide initiative to decrease LOS thru the development of an organizational structure, operational plans and IT support resulting in a .6 day decrease Improved the overall operations of the Peri-operative areas through management development, conflict management and team building sessions. Collaborated with the VP in formulating options for cost reduction which increased consignment and standardized key implants saving 1 million Project managed the implementation of network data software across multi site campus. Developed profiles on 50 local competitors, relationship data base and document management for outside contracts Created a multi-disciplinary task force for Geriatrics bringing together hospital personnel and faculty representatives from local universities to design new delivery model for frail elderly - major outcomes: group developed one of four ACE units in the country.
