Description
COVER LETTER: Dear Employment Representative OBJECTIVE: an exciting and challenging opportunity where I can use my urethanes and epoxy chemical background and new product development experience to contribute to the successful development and certification of new opportunities for existing or new applications. In my previous role with Covestro, I was responsible for the development of a new open cell foam system for Appendix X spray foam applications. This new product was launched commercially as Bayseal OCX in January 2016. My responsibilities included overseeing the application of foam onto the test articles needed for flame performance certification (ASTM 84, mini corners, full room test burns, etc.) and witnessing the foam test burns to document flame resistance performance. The new foam product certification witness process also included various mechanical property performance tests (tensile, compression, R-value, air permeation, etc.) I also had minor responsibilities for production, QC, and closed cell spray foam systems as needed as due to vacations and travel schedules for plant personnel, as project priorities required. I have an extensive background in designed experimentation and composites processing in both thermoset and thermoplastic polymers. My experience includes RIM, RTM, Filament Winding, Pultrusion, injection molding, and urethane spray foam processes. I have worked with many phases of composite manufacture including capital requests, production line engineering design, installation, and tool design for test article fabrication. I am an "industry expert" in the fabrication of epoxy and urethane composites with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar reinforcements. I have had extensive safety, environmental, and ISO 9000 experience and training while working for The Dow Chemical Company. I served as either the department safety manager, environmental manager, or ISO 9000 implementation manager for the Epoxy and Urethane R&D Departments for over 15 years. I was responsible for the implementation and training for ergonomic issues, chemical labeling, hazardous waste RCRA disposal sites, and training programs for all safety issues. I represented Dow Chemical while working with the Composites Industry to work with the EPA to set emission standards and safe work practices for chemical exposure I like to work and I am looking for an exciting challenge where I can solve problems thru chemistry or process improvements. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications and your job requirements with you in an interview. I would like to visit with you and discuss your opportunity and my qualifications to see if my skills match your job requirements. Sincerely, Eloy Martinez
