Pentagon 40 hours weekly Managed the oversight of security operations conducted by the 45 Federal security professionals at the DOE Livermore Lab. Helped set the strategic goals and plans for the safe and secure conduct of operations by the 6800 contractor personnel and the approximately 200 member civilian guard force. Set the priorities for an annual security budget in excess of $97 million and worked closely with state and local law enforcement agencies to ensure cooperation with the communities impacted by our operations. Assisted in resolving complex labor - management issues with unionized guard force staff, as well as with scientific and technical staff members. Accomplishments: * Led the initiative to revitalize the security programs at the National Nuclear Laboratory. * Chaired post 9/11 Installation Security and Force Protection Improvement council. * Established a forum for resolving disputes between line supervisors and disgruntled union staff members our model was adopted complex wide for dealing with labor-management disputes. Planned and conducted over 200 intelligence oversight/compliance audits of Department of Defense organizations (all branches) Reserve and National Guard units both in CONUS and abroad to ensure that intelligence activities being conducted were both legal and effective. and a similar program for Latin American military leaders attending the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation located at Fort Benning Georgia (classes were delivered in scripted Russian and Spanish respectively). * Led the "Tiger Team" commissioned to restructure the Defense Department's information security program with special focus on protecting sensitive personal information. 48-60 hours weekly
