CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS * Caught before document release a potential request for quote of instrumentation with improper construction materials based on outdated information, thus saving a potential loss of tens of thousands of dollars if procured. * Brought to management's attention a cost-reduction strategy of developing templates for various common standards and drawings that could be used on all projects which would eliminate the need of rework as well as shortening the project schedule. * Active member in a team dedicated to the merger of document layout styles between two distinct control system project / software teams within the company's PLC group. This saved considerable time, and therefore provided cost-reduction within the PLC group when troubleshooting control system issues occurred as well as reduced any confusion among the company's PLC customers using this documentation. * Team Leader for a Six Sigma Green Belt Project, the Initial Process Information and Control (PIC) Training for Field Operating Services (FOS) Advisors. The purpose of this Six Sigma Green Belt project was to set a standard of initial training activities for company (UOP LLC, a Honeywell Company) advisors in the FOS group to follow in order to aid them with commissioning, using, and troubleshooting the company PIC group's PLC systems. This initial training provided company field employees a greater ability to resolve issues quickly at site, thus giving greater customer satisfaction and a better opportunity for future business. This also resulted in having fewer basic questions from the field employees being asked of the home office PLC technical support team, which saved time that could be focused on more complicated customer issues and requests. * When in the field performing I&C and PLC activities (with UOP LLC, a Honeywell Company), gained invaluable experience in communicating complex engineering issues both verbally and through written documentation such as reports and memorandum directly to the customer. In many of these cases the field assignment was overseas where English was not the customer's primary language and sometimes would be very limited at best. Because of the language differences, developed a strong ability to provide necessary information in a concise step-by-step or issue-by-issue method which often included drawings or photos to help explain any concerns or recommendations.
