and Responsibilities: Developed and implemented new budgeting tools for the $400MM Remington's Firearms business unit, and assisted Corporate as needed to transition the business from DuPont to include asset revaluations and transition of ERP systems. Advisor to VP of International and General Counsel on the financial implications of import and export components to avoid adverse VAT consequences. Developed new community relations to support new business ventures and site locations. Conducted new plant start-up activities for finance, accounting and materials management. Accomplishments as International Financial Manager: * Audited international contracts and worked with legal to write/re-write and restructure international agreements to avoid adverse tax consequences while minimizing VAT and Italian entity establishment risks * Negotiated with Swiss Neuchatel Canton officials for development of new manufacturing location * Developed a new economic model for evaluating the profitability of new development efforts to include EVA, Discounted EBITDA, NPV, IRR, Profitability Index, Gross Margin and Discounted Project ATOI. Accomplishments as Accounting and Materials Manager: * New sourcing initiatives in materials management saved over $100K in annual operating costs * Negotiated with State and local officials on tax and other incentive packages for the new R&D center in new small arms manufacturing plant in Paducah KY. Accomplishments as Plant Accounting Manager and Assistant Corporate Controller: Led the finance accounting warehouse and stores functions with 32 staff for a $550MM manufacturing facility * Coordinated all internal and external audits of a $400MM manufacturing facility
