SUMMARY * Design & fabrication of pulp & paper recovery boilers, black liquor smelt spouts, shatter jets, liquor nozzles and air system upgrades for enhanced boiler performance * Shop experience in fabrication of boiler components such as super heaters, economizers, water walls, screens, floors * Gas conversions & pressure part replacements for both recovery boilers and power boilers * Lignin recovery from black liquor & first commercial installation for a paper mill (LignoBoost Process) * Have built PCC manufacturing plants for paper mills for production of fine paper. * Strong background in engineered systems for coal fired power plants. Flyash, SOx, NOx removal using electrostatic precipitators, baghouses and dry & wet scrubbers, SCR and SNCR. FGD systems. * Systems for coal handling, conveyors, flyash conveying. Also ductwork and breeching for flue gases. * Design and installation of boiler upgrades, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG). * Reheater, superheater and economizer rebuilds and replacements. Pressure part replacements. * Boiler combustion systems, low NOx burners and combustion controls. * Retrofit projects and outage work experience. Successful management of time sensitive and deadline projects. * Holder of US & foreign patents for utility industry air pollution control for Flyash and SOx removal. * Strong Project engineering and Project management background. Multiple project management. * Contract negotiations and administration. Design-build and EPC contracts. * P/L responsibilities, budgets and cost controls for projects up to $25 million. * Primary contact for interface with clients on a day today basis and focal point of all communication. * Contractor and construction coordination & monitoring field activities & progress. * Interface with regulatory agencies, such as EPA, OSHA, local air quality departments & factory mutual. * Quality assurance and ISO 9001 standards compliance and enforcement within the organization. * Change management (schedule and cost). Gate review processes for successful execution of capital projects. * Management and control of HSE risks associated with projects. * Continuous improvement initiatives and their implementation. * Project risk identification, mitigation and management through design and installation. * Experience in execution of international projects (China, Korea, Japan, Mexico, and Canada). * International sourcing of suppliers and contractors for achieving lowest project cost. * Strong supervisory background and excellent interpersonal skills. * Ability to build, train, motivate and mentor multi-disciplined work teams. * Excellent communication, strategic planning, critical thinking and resource management skills. * A go-getter with proven ability to make things happen and get the job done.
