SUMMARY * Professional experience in PCR, reagent preparation, BSL3 sample processing, DNA extraction, and analysis using aseptic techniques, assay development, QC/QA and product Verification according to LRN, CDC, and Biowatch procedures. * Professional and academic research experience in performing experiments with competent and reproducible results, cell culture, protein isolation and verification, Western Blotting, gel electrophoresis, chromatography, maintaining accurate and well-organized COC, PMQC, experiment records, worksheets, notebooks, data processing logs, and writing comprehensive lab reports. * Ensure the tracking and accounting of all biological lab samples per LRN, CDC, Homeland Security, DOHMH, and NYC Public Health Labs procedures. * Teaching more than 100 college students on variety of topics including DNA Isolation, PCR, Western Blot, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, protein isolation and identification, and chromatography and staining techniques. * Communicate with lead Biological Scientist, coworkers, and lab technicians, answer questions, conduct data analysis, write comprehensive lab reports and make appropriate recommendations as needed. * Maintaining and updating product documents, assessments, reports, and data analysis. * Properly handle, store, and dispose biological materials in accordance with safety regulations and lab rules. * Routinely provide clear and concise written and oral instructions for students about the calibration and operation of lab equipment in a safe and proper manner prior to performing a variety of specialized tests.
