To seek a Financial Regulatory Reporting Associate or an Accountant Position. FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE: 05/2014 - 12/2016 Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank), 400 Park Ave., New York, NY-Accountant. Perform the functions in the accounting/finance area related to General Ledger, Head Office, internal and regulatory reports, accounts payable, tax and audit requests etc. The responsibilities include: * Work on FRB and NYSDFS regulation reports that include FR2900, pledged assets report, TIC report, FFIEC 019 and FFIEC 002. Submit the reports to FRB and other Regulators accurately and on time. File reports and supporting documents for audits, regulatory requests, examinations and internal compliance department. * Prepare and submit monthly closing reports to HO: GL/EGL, Balance Sheet, P/L, Expenses, Deposits from customers, banks, branches, subsidiaries and other financial institutions. * Prepare monthly reports for NY branch: fixed asset, prepaid, sundry payable/receivable, overhead expenses, P/L segmental report. * Reconcile bank accounts (USD and foreign currencies) daily and monthly. Post required G/L journal entries daily. * Pay all expenses by check, SWIFT, online or credit cards timely, book in the Midas correctly and file properly. * Prepare and pay commercial rent tax quarterly. * Check and investigate the suspense accounts daily. * Prepare provision monthly and post in the Midas. * Send some customers their monthly ending account balances. * Prepare audit confirmation letters. Provide required documents to internal and external auditors and regulators. * Issue 1099 to some professional consultants and firms yearly. * Maintain the list of vendors and update details. * Provide the explanations on some variance discrepancies. * Initiate or modify financial reporting worksheets and procedures.
