Summary of Experience: Twenty-four years as a software engineer, on moderate- to large-scale projects. Have worked on real-time data acquisition systems, embedded systems, Linux and HP/UX device drivers for PCI devices, a SCSI device driver, communications protocols, interprocess communication systems, a specialized forms manager, asynchronous event-driven systems, and user-interface design. Twelve years of system programming and system administration experience, ranging from writing backup procedures to debugging in-house device drivers and everything in between. Wrote network security enhancement code, privileged utilities to assist in project management, in-house "helpers" to support desired functions not supported by the target kernel and specialized diagnostics to assist when hardware service people were unable to reproduce faults.
