Professional Summary a. Project management A Mechanical Engineer with several years of experience executing projects in oil and gas industry. He has worked as program manager, leading several project teams to develop scope of works, detailed project plans and preliminary estimates. He has completed several construction projects for petroleum products pipelines, pump stations and storage tanks within budget and time. He is experienced in preparation of tender documents & proposals, bidders' pre-qualification & bids evaluation and preparation of the contracts. Currently consulting as a Contracts Manager for Zakhem International Limited, he disengaged from the post of the General Manager (Projects) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Abuja Nigeria in July 2013 after 30 years of service. He is a certified Project Manager and holds the Project Management Institute Credentials "PMP". b. Arbitration He is also an experienced arbitrator who holds fellowship/membership in several arbitral institutions including the Dispute Board Federation. He has had several appointments as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chairman of arbitral tribunals and has rendered awards on construction and other commercial disputes. He has been a practicing commercial Arbitrator and Mediator since 2008 and he has rendered several arbitral awards. During his tenure at the NNPC, he acted as witness-of-facts for the corporation in some high-profile arbitration cases, including the successful defense at the Okrika Jetty arbitration case. He also regularly consulted with counsel for the corporation on strategy at early phases of arbitrations and advised the corporation's leadership regarding risks. He has also been involved in continuous improvement of his international arbitration skills through trainings organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA) USA and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), etc.
