I began my career in 1973 as a secretary and was promoted to Customer Service Associate taking orders from direct customers and distributors in MI, OH, WV, PA, NY and KY. Worked with manufacturing locations to determine lead times, special pricing and processed the orders with appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing. Later, as Product Marketing Specialist I monitored and renegotiated special pricing for the welding wire and flux portion of the business while assisting in ensuring chemical analysis of wire and flux were shipped to a nuclear customer requiring certificates of conformance for military compliance.
