Responsibilities included: establishing ownership records through analysis of title opinions and other legal instruments; making unit revisions based on changes of ownership and/or marketing arrangements; analyzing outside division orders for proper reflection of client’s ownership and preparing for corresponding operator/purchaser revisions; reviewing legal documents supporting complex changes in ownership; handling purchases and sales of producing properties; responding to intracompany and outside correspondence; and reconciling suspense items and negative deferred balances for areas including TX, LA, OK, KS, and Gulf of Mexico.
