Daily Duties at Potter County Sheriff's Office:
Deputy Sheriff/Peace Officer.Enforce the laws of the State of Texas. perform any Lawful Duty imposed by the Sheriff or his Designee. Sergeant/Supervisor. Supervise up to 33 deputies and correctional officer. Scheduling, training, evaluation, counseling, inspecting. Ensuring the departmental policies as well as the laws of the State of Texas were adhered to. patrol Supervisor, responsible for the county and citizens on my watch. Supervise the patrol deputies on calls and patrol. Assist with all duties. Jail Supervisor responsible for the intake of prisoners and the safe housing and confinement of up to 600 prisoners and the personnel to care for them. 911 call center/communications supervisor. Supervise all call center personnel, fill in when needed, assist as needed. Reporting to the state, background checks on applicants. Responsible for the upkeep and purchase and issuance of all radio equipment, building maintenance.
