Daily Duties at Mountain States Group:
Assistant Director – Physician Recruiter • Located, tracked, screened, interviewed, matched, and recruited health care professionals in rural Idaho. Successfully placed 49 of the project's 56 Family Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in 32 rural Idaho communities. • Implemented, coordinated and maintained an annual database of 589 health care professionals and 54 rural Idaho communities. • Developed and implemented marketing strategies using the Internet, regional and national recruiter coalitions, medical journals, and physician career fairs. Tracked candidate activities with proprietary 4th Dimension Practice Sights database. • Successfully managed project within predefined budget. Developed community profiles, key informant reports, quarterly vacancy surveys and project quarterly reports. • Extensive public contact with health care professionals, administrators, hospital boards, and national recruiters. • Trained health care administrators, community recruitment committees on recruitment and retention process. Conducted community one on one interviews with health care consumers on health care delivery issues. • Coordinated Idaho Health Professional Loan Repayment Program for State of Idaho. Handled all payment schedules, board minutes, telephone, fax, and e-mail correspondence. Project Evaluator • Evaluator of a federal demonstration project on consumer-driven mental health advocacy for the State of Idaho. • Observed planning meetings, reviewed project documents, conducted telephone interviews with 24 mental health consumer participants. • Prepared evaluation report for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Workshop Facilitator • Compiled local, state, and national data on cultural competency in social service programs. • Designed and prepared workshop materials for cultural competency in mental health services. • Presented workshops for State of Idaho regional mental health advisory boards.
