SUMMARY Richard Alvarez lll I have worked at General Electric power and water for six years. I started as a general assembler and worked my way up to instrument fitter. Being safety oriented, self motivated, and a team player. I work well on my own as well with others. Involved on the ergonomics safety team which we built a lifting hoist to make easier and safer to remove a starter from the turbine which cut time an hour in a half to fifteen minutes and won award in the ergo cup. I acquired two awards at General Electric in the six years * Hand tools knowledge and safety Forklift operator Blue print interpretation * Aerial lift certified Scissor lift operator * Swagelok certified 1 Duties and responsibilities * Performed all the duties of a General Assembler. * Designed, layout and install complex instrument systems and route associated tubing and able to guide a small team in listed activities. * Designed, routed, measured, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install SS tubing with no supervision. * Mounted and installed instruments, and associated control/sensing devices. * Provided daily updates to lead on all work being performed in all areas including, but not limited to, status, location, and other production related issues on any Aeroderivative products. * Interacted and worked collaboratively with hourly production lead, direct Supervisor, Engineering, Sourcing and Quality for all product lines in order to drive cross-functional support while executing product improvements & product reliability. * Interfaced with supervisor &/or manager to give progress updates as required * Assisted in training of less experienced mechanical assemblers and guiding team members with all mechanical assembly operations. * Read, understand, and interpret mechanical assembly, general arrangement, F&ID's (flow and instrumentation diagram), and all engineering drawings.
